Remote Control Starts with a Secure Device | RemoteView Security

  • Feature
As digital work environments become the norm, remote access has become a daily necessity for many.
But with greater convenience comes greater risk—especially from cyber threats like ransomware, which encrypts data and demands payment for its release. In 2024 alone, there were 5,414 reported ransomware attacks on organizations worldwide—an 11% increase from the previous year (Cyberint 2024 Ransomware Annual Report).

RemoteView's Security Response

One standout feature is the ability to check the security status of the connecting device—the viewer PC—before starting a remote session.
This step is crucial in protecting sensitive data on the remote PC from threats like ransomware.
Remote access is only granted if both checks are passed:
  • Whether the viewer PC’s operating system has the latest security patches
  • Whether antivirus software is installed and up to date
✅ Remote access is only granted if both checks are passed.

How to Enable This Feature

To turn on these features, follow these steps:
① OS Security Patch Check
  • Go to [Company Settings] → [Security Settings] → Enable ‘OS latest security patch’
